Use the following as a mockup for your final test.
We will do ONE of these in class during Week 5 or 6, but you should also practice at home using another of the topics, handwriting the response and setting yourself the same time (about 80 minutes) to complete it.

You will be asked to respond to a text that we have studied recently (in our case The Cay).
You will need to choose from THREE stimulus questions and respond to it using lots of references to the book.
YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO USE AT LEAST 7 QUOTES AND 5 LITERARY TECHNIQUES in your response.
Your Response will be HANDWRITTEN *(Except those with Special Conditions for completing exams)
What can I bring with me?
The most important thing is a working and fully inked blue or black PEN. Do not use a pencil or colour other than blue/black.

During Week 5 we will revisit The Cay and focus on the key literary techniques and main themes of the novel which is something we didn't do a lot of when we studied it previously. We will also prepare the Sheet for your use in the exam. The template for the sheet is here.
You SHOULD reread the book as much as you can during this preparation week.
We will also do a practice task during Week 5 to give you an idea of how the exam will work.
