  • look at a PDF file showing a history of written communication
  • Examine the advantages and disadvantages of various writing technologies (ie printed books)
  • Explore a range of e-Books and look at the language features that distinguish them from other written communication forms

d. What do you dislike about printed books?
e. If you had a choice between a printed an electronic book which would you choose and why?

FORMATIVE TASK (this one will NOT go to your end of year mark)You are to take all the responses from the survey task above as well as the discussion we have had in class and respond to the following question:
"That printed books are better than digital books."
This is to be a discussion report that :
  • defines what each type of book is (ie printed vs. digital). Write about the distinguishing feature of both.
  • examines the advantages and disadvantages of each, including what others think
  • states your personal opinion (with supporting reasons)
