Assessment Type: Text Analysis
Text: Independent Text to be chosen by the student Context: Independently chosen text to be read both in and out of class.
Task Description You are to choose a book to review in written/multimedia form. Minimum 600 words or 10 slides minimum. Elements to include in your review should be in two broad categories, Description & Evaluation.
Description:
- a brief outline of the plot (do not spend the entire review retelling the story)
- a summary of the characters appearance and personality
- any key ideas or themes that the book explores Evaluation:
- What you liked about the book and why
- What you disliked about the book and why
- Who would like your book
- A rating out of 5.
The two broad sections ought to be balanced in length. Include any illustrations or visual elements that would enhance your presentation. If you use any external materials (eg.
